Too Tired Tuesday

Sleep is as important to health as diet and exercise. When we don’t sleep well, our work, relationships, productivity, health, and safety are all put at risk. Sleep deprivation is a common problem, and many are losing sleep due to long work/school days and doing work at times when they would normally be asleep.

Common causes of sleep loss: Stress and worry are leading causes of insomnia, working at night and sleeping during the day can be challenging. Jet lag, traveling across time zones can throw the body clock out of sync. Sleep disorders, insomnia, and other sleep problems may cause sleep loss and daytime sleepiness.

To improve my sleep, I will have to avoid caffeine close to bedtime and also avoid alcohol as it can lead to disrupted sleep.
