Too Tired Tuesday

Sleep is as important to health as diet and exercise. When we don’t sleep well, our work, relationships, productivity, health, and safety are all put at risk. Sleep deprivation is a common problem, and many are losing sleep due to long work/school days and doing work at times when they would normally be asleep.

Common causes of sleep loss: Stress and worry are leading causes of insomnia, working at night and sleeping during the day can be challenging. Jet lag, traveling across time zones can throw the body clock out of sync. Sleep disorders, insomnia, and other sleep problems may cause sleep loss and daytime sleepiness.

To improve my sleep, I will have to avoid caffeine close to bedtime and also avoid alcohol as it can lead to disrupted sleep.

Schoolwork is neverending

Being in school is important. In class, topics are covered and objectives are mastered. Students need to be in class for the learning experience. Every time you are not in class, you have a gap in learning. A gap in learning puts a student at a disadvantage to learn the next topic in class, especially in a sequential class... Sometimes it can’t be helped, Sometimes you are just sick; sometimes family issues come up; sometimes you just break down because of some other issues. It’s difficult to catch up with schoolwork after an absence. It’s real complicated because usually you get a stack about this big of work and little time to do it and you really don’t understand it. You have to work on it on your own. If I could help it, I wouldn’t miss as many days because then I wouldn’t be as far behind.
Catching up is hard...

Can't sleep

Stephanie and I
Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things

Friday, March 27th
I've been longing to spend my time with you on every weekends. We didn't attend school on this particular day and I find it really hilarious as both of us will be taking O levels' very soon yet we aren't prepared for it.

The moment we reached Somerset station, we went over to the Heeren. Stephanie bought a pair of jeans from QC and we headed to SBucks for some drinks...

love our shoes

While waiting for B & C. (Steph, you know who are they right?)

Told you guys I can't sleep, we left West Coast only at 6 in the morning.

Feeling restless

For smokers, a cigarette can feel like a good stress reliever. In fact, during times of stress, a cigarette feels almost necessary, and quitting the habit can seem virtually impossible.

I feel like I’m behind on life. School is completely overwhelming if only for the fact that I feel stuck and hopeless and disgruntled.

When you are happy, you accept yourself; when you are unhappy you reject yourself. But you are both. When all things are flowing, you feel great; when everything has stopped and become stagnant, then you feel in hell. But both have to be accepted. This is how life is: life consists of hell and heaven together. The division of hell and heaven separately is a false division. There is no heaven up there and no hell down there; they are both here. One moment you are in heaven, another moment you are in hell.

Rain is refreshing

Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet... Am drenched now

After the break

For me, getting Mondays started on the right foot was one of the hardest things to do. I would ease myself into the school week like I ease myself into a swimming pool that is uncomfortably too cold, anxiously, rigidly and not looking forward to it.

Once in the class, I'd start off slow. I just went through the motions of greeting the teachers, going through assessment and doing all the calculations, and letting what I found dictate the morning and ultimately the week, Yuck! After a relaxing weekend it's pretty hard to get moving and motivated.

Twilight Penthouse Party, Helipad

On the March 14th, never to be forgotten night under the moon where sensuous vamps will meet suave vampires of the urban kind. To take place beginning twilight at an exquisite 3-storey penthouse on the top of the exclusive Cairnhill district, this castle in the sky offers majestic views of the Singapore cityscape fit for the vampiric crowd.

The host of the day:
Opening night drew a good crowd...

to an increasing extent:

a crowd of angry people man!
Lets' get the party started...
It's not called a party if there aren't whiskey, gin, vodka, or any other intoxicating liquor.

And balloons!

Next up... Helipad presents Special K, Gear up for Kaywire Party with Special K and his fresh style of progressive electro mash-ups:

This is really an exciting account of an eventful life, love you people!

A Blast!

Promised Mom to stay home for two consecutive days,
(Thursday and Friday)
And Saturday was momentous! (Power House)

Learn to enjoy what you do; rather than do what you enjoy. It is not always possible to do things that one enjoys. But if you learn the art of joyful living, even seemingly boring chores can bring you joy.

Updates

Shall publish the past few days' posts soon

Chill

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown. Forget not that the earth delights to feel my bare feet and the winds long to play with my hair. To sit in the shade on a fine day and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment.

I've met up with beloved Steph.C last sunday, who I don't chill with very often already... I had a pleasant night chatting with her, chilling nearby. I love just chilling out but I love alcoholism more!

Crush

I have developed a crush on a guy and now he is the only one I can't get out of my head... I've been out of the game for awhile. I don't even remember what a decent kiss feels like, let alone crushing.

Everything happens for a reason

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become .You never know who these people may be; your classmate, your close friend, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck.

I want time by myself, no school for me today

Bumped

Told ya'll I was gonna bump like this...

I look at myself in the mirror and I see my face and my body but I don’t see the light in my eyes. The only thing I see in my eyes is the emptiness that I can never fill. I try to do things that fills the hole that I feel is getting bigger and bigger each day but I just can’t fill it. I remember a time when I didn’t feel this empty, it was the past…

It's a wet and gloomy Monday

Monday is the most dreaded day of the week.

It was raining. Not the simple sprinkling that had been falling for the past week, but more like a waterfall of raindrops, falling freely from the dark sky. Clouds were built up as if they were great walls, keeping the sunlight from shining down to the broken world. Thunder cracked across the lands. And lightning streaked along the dark, stormy sky. The only noise was of the rain falling to the stone beneath my feet and the thunder rumbling from the heavens above. My hair sagged down past my shoulders and hung across my face when I was walking home back from school. Sometimes, I do like the rain. Capable of washing away so many things; the dirt covering the grass, the litter stuck in the garden - and the infernal tears that always seemed to fall. It was a beautiful thing, and it had captivated me beyond belief. Today is Monday Blues, everyone
